HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) East Florida Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh DeTillio as the Chief Executive Officer of Palms West Hospital, effective July 16, 2018.
Mr. DeTillio brings over twenty years of healthcare experience to his new role. He began his career with the United States Army serving five years as a Field Artillery Officer. After leaving the Army, he transitioned into healthcare joining HCA in 2003 as an Administrative Fellow at Cedars Medical Center in Miami. He was later promoted to Associate Administrator at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. In 2006, he joined Tenet Healthcare and served as the Chief Operating Officer for North Shore Medical Center in Miami as well as the Chief Operating Officer for St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. For the last seven years, he has been with Lee Health leading Gulf Coast Medical Center as the Chief Administrative Officer in Ft. Myers, FL. Gulf Coast Medical Center is the combined hospital of two former HCA facilities; Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center and Gulf Coast Hospital.
Mr. DeTillio received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. Mr. DeTillio is also a Fellow (FACHE) with the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. DeTillio is excited to be back in Palm Beach County where he resides with his wife and two young children.
