Anthony L. Pearson-Shaver, MD, MHSA, Pediatric Residency Program Director, Palms West Hospital

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Palms West Hospital Pediatric Residency program. We are a pediatric residency program based in a 204-bed community hospital in South Florida with 47 inpatient pediatric and pediatric intensive care beds. Palms West Hospital is a comprehensive acute care hospital offering a wide variety of specialty services as well as a dedicated pediatric emergency department and a full-service Children’s Hospital. The sponsoring institution for the pediatric residency at Palms West Hospital is the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education (PBCGME); an alliance of four hospitals in the East Florida Division of HCA Healthcare. The Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education is the institutional sponsor for four residency-training programs: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. PBCGME affiliates with the Nova Southeastern University Kiran C. Patel College of Medicine and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. The Pediatric Residency is an ACGME accredited three-year pediatric program that accepts six residents per class.
