Collaborative, comprehensive orthopedic care

Living with pain can make normal activities—such as walking, bending, sleeping or working—an agonizing experience. Our team of orthopedic surgeons, pain management physicians, nurses and physical therapists work together to provide a personalized plan tailored to the individual needs of our patients.

We also provide the patient and family/caregiver with additional support and access to a variety of services to further the patient’s rehabilitation and recovery. Our rehabilitation program works closely with the hospital care team and discharge planners creating a thorough continuum of care from inpatient to outpatient.

The Orthopedic & Spine Center has eight dedicated private orthopedic suites to ensure your care is an exceptional experience within a serene and comfortable environment.

Orthopedic specialties

We specialize in the following orthopedic areas:

Back and spine care

Our spine care program offers a wide variety of treatment options, from physical therapy to surgery, to patients experiencing back or neck pain or discomfort due to injury or disease.

Joint care

Our orthopedic doctors provide joint care services for patients in need of therapy for pain caused by injury, arthritis or wear and tear. For example, our specialists treat ligament and tendon injuries and offer carpal tunnel treatments. We also provide surgical procedures, such as partial or complete:

  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement (including minimally invasive knee arthroscopy)
  • Shoulder replacement (minimally invasive shoulder arthroscopy)

Foot and ankle

We know how much foot and ankle pain can significantly impact a person's mobility and quality of life. Our foot and ankle specialists use advanced technology to treat conditions affecting lower extremities, including sports-related injuries and fractures.

Pediatric orthopedics

From broken bones to the most complex orthopedic disorders, our pediatric rehabilitation program provides the region’s most advanced care in a family-friendly environment. The pediatric orthopedic specialists at The Children’s Hospital of Palms West have world-class facilities and are specially trained to care for children.

Our Orthopedic & Spine Center works in close collaboration with The Children’s Hospital at Palms West to develop and expand the specialized orthopedic care and treatment of our youngest patients. Our team diagnoses and treats all facets of a child’s skeletal health, including trauma, fractures and injuries.

We have expertise in the management of congenital problems, such as:

  • Spinal deformities
  • Hip and foot anomalies
  • Growth disorders and developmental delay
  • Neuromuscular disorders

Additionally, our surgical expertise includes advanced techniques in:

  • Foot and hip reconstruction
  • Spinal reconstruction
  • Tendon transfers and muscular reconstruction
  • Sports medicine procedures
  • Skeletal trauma care

Sports medicine

We offer advanced technology, expert advice, injury prevention and assessment, health and fitness training, injury treatment and rehabilitation for all ages and skill levels. Our Pediatric ER assists children when they need care most.

Nonsurgical, surgical and rehabilitative options are designed to return patients to their full ability and reduce the risk for re-injury. When possible, we take a minimally invasive approach which means smaller incisions, faster healing and less pain.

Rehabilitation services

Our patients are treated with a comprehensive approach—meaning they receive all care without leaving the unit.

Because many orthopedic and spine surgeries require postoperative physical therapy and rehabilitation, we have an on-site outpatient rehabilitation center. Here, patients can receive any physical, occupational or aquatic therapy they need.
